Haileybury College

Axent Global recently installed a new multipurpose scoreboard for Haileybury College in Keysborough. Due to its design and interchangeable labels, the scoreboard is usable for cricket and football operations. The scoreboards dimensions are 7 meters long by 3.5 meters high.

For a cricket game, the scoreboard stores and displays:
• Batsmen 1 and Batsmen 2 name and runs
• Current bowlers name, overs, wickets and runs
• Team wickets, total and overs
• Batting target
• Current time

For a football game, the scoreboard stores and displays:
• Team 1 and Team 2 name
• Team 1 and Team 2 goals, behinds and points
• Current time

For both operations the characters use amber LEDS.

The scoreboard also contains a moving message board underneath the scoreboard which uses green LEDS to display characters. The school uses this to display game and advertising related information.

The scoreboard is controlled and operated by two hardware styles:
• Through a server PC situated in the scorers shed. The PC contains control software which is used to drive the scoreboard as well as diagnose any faults
• PDA. Contains a cut down version of the software. Means you can operate the scoreboard from anywhere around the ground
